Corporate Value Partners, Inc. assisted a law firm in correcting a previously issued valuation report prepared by a local CPA firm that was submitted to the IRS. The valuation significantly overstated the value of the estate, resulting in unduly high taxes. The analysis involved “rolling back the clock” to determine the information that was available at that time (several years prior) and properly reflecting the impact of that information.
